The Parish values which we as parishioners uphold should be based on the Word of God, the teachings of the Church and our Ampleforth Benedictine heritage. Specifically, we should be a community :

Divine Mercy Prayer Group

Time of Meetings: 11:30am every Friday.
Place: The Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Saint Mary's Parish Church, Leyland.
Programme:
•The Chaplet of Divine Mercy;
•Stations of the Cross;
•The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary;
•Mass at 12:15.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy
1. Using normal rosary beads, begin with:
Our Father..., Hail Mary..., The Creed.

2. On the five large beads:
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ
in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

3. On the ten small beads:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the whole world.

4. At the end of the Chaplet say three times:
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One,have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Home Rosary Group

Time of Meetings: 8.00pm every Thursday.
Place: At the host member's house for that week..

Programe:

•The Rosary Group consists of families who take it in turn to look after the Rosary Statue and host the weekly Rosary meeting each week. There are, at present, about 20 families.

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Novena Prayer

My dearest Mother Mary, behold me, your child, in prayer at your feet. Accept this Holy Rosary, which I offer you in accordance with your requests at Fatima, as a proof of my tender love for you, for the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in atonement for the offenses committed against your Immaculate Heart, and for this special favor which I earnestly request in my Rosary Novena: (Mention your request).

I beg you to present my petition to your Divine Son. If you will pray for me, I cannot be refused. I know, dearest Mother, that you want me to seek God’s holy Will concerning my request. If what I ask for should not be granted, pray that I may receive that which will be of greater benefit to my soul.

I offer you this spiritual “Bouquet of Roses” because I love you. I put all my confidence in you, since your prayers before God are most powerful. For the greater glory of God and for the sake of Jesus, your loving Son, hear and grant my prayer. Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation.
